Original articles: the oasis of a successful blog
Creating a successful blog means a whole lot of writing. This blog for example has almost 80 posts. It is not yet successful like I want it to be. I should be able to have a $3,000 per month residual income and growing when I call it successful. It is steadily increasing, but if I want to reach my goal, I have to write 2,000 articles or so to generate the traffic I will need.
I have noticed that it is not only about the content, but the design as well that creates clicks. I went from a bland white blog, to the current blue layout. I also utilize the blog space better with 2 sidebar columns instead of the one I used to have. My revenues have gone up with the design change.
But to generate that elusive monthly income, I have to steady write original content. That’s where idea sites come in. I am always browsing trends, and current topics. It is also the method I use to find topics to write about for Associated Content.
