New moon opening day sales

New moon opening day sales apparently is breaking records with $125 million over the weekend. I don’t see how though because 2012 did 200 million+ over the last weekend. I think it might be a big winner in the film world, but definitely not a record breaker.
I guess it is just the opening day sales that broke records of some sort. I would read up on it, but frankly I don’t care. I want to see 2012 badly, then there are a handful of other movies I have yet to see. I don’t get out much.
