Automated trend tracking

I have learned that you can gain some serious traffic by posting blog topics that are in line with current trends. What I am wondering is whether anyone is going to develop a program that will monitor trends, then scrape rss feeds that are based on the trend’s topic and post it as a blog.
If trends do actually bring in the traffic that results in ad revenue, then staying ahead of everyone else will bring in the bulk of that revenue.
Now, off to find a php programmer who wants to test my theory… If that is you let me know. I can give the seo tips that make a difference and we can go in this together.
