Kids have no respect these days. But that can change.
I have two little boys. 9 and 5. They fight like they are enemies half the time and because of it, we force them to play together to get some experience being nice to each other. But their issues have gone too far. That is why tonight I decided to take them both to Kuk Sool Won class. It was an intro teaching them the Korean martial art.
The entire time at this class was spent drilling into the kids to answer someone with a “yes sir!”. A reason that I was originally trained in martial arts was because I needed to learn self discipline. But I justified it at that age because I was learning how to fight and defend myself. But the thing about it is that defense and respect come as one. So I am happy to sign them up at $112 a piece. It gets them into class twice a week and drills respect into them.
Now I wish some of those bad ass kids I see running around grocery stores would have parents that knew what respect was. We have a jackass right on our street who let’s his pack of wild wolves do whatever they want. But we have something for that. Police.
