Fake bloggers say this…

I come across a good number of blogs every single day. A good chunk of them all say the same thing about monitizing their blog. They say that money is not a huge motivator for what they do, and that they would rather contribute to the world with quality content.

I would have to agree that quality content is what creates loyal readers, but to deny that money is a motivator is an upright lie. the fact is that most bloggers want to make more than enough money from their blog to pay their life expenses. The fact is that the bloggers not counted as “most bloggers” are the ones that are already financially set. Real people who have real jobs or a lack of a job view money as a serious motivator.

Blogs are a great way of getting crap off of your mind and providing some sort of stress relief. You can say it is an excellent motivator for me. But I certainly want to see my time authoring articles become fruitful. A good number of blogs make 6 figures or more within a year or so. This is due to writing consistantly and providing unique content for their readers on a daily basis. That kind of dedication does not come from just a general interest in contributing to society by publishing your opinions. The fact is that bloggers who say money is not a motivator are usually fake. They are not telling you the truth. I would hate to alienate other bloggers because they could become a link traffic source for me, but I call it how it is.

My multiple other web based businesses are what currently make me money at this time, but they require my constant upkeep. My motivation is to be able to do nothing but write on a daily basis and collect a check from it. By doing that sort of thing I can actually pre-schedule my posts to get me ahead and free up some of my time for vacations, family outings, and other things that I wish to do. The idea of being able to get paid to do something that will not require me to collect from delinquent clients, or to push my time heavily into sales just excites me.

When all is said and done, my motivator is money. I am sure that readers will find me because I provided them with knowledge of something they were searching for in Google, and I appreciate that. I love looking at my statistics and seeing how visitors find me. It makes you feel good that you posted an article with information someone else needed. But in the end, I hope to generate revenue from my blog, like every other blogger out there who denies their true motivation.
